ANDRIES KRUGER

Andries’ illustrious engineering career, which commenced in 1994 with DWAF, has since evolved into an extensive journey marked by unparalleled dedication and leadership in the field. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the Thaba Nchu Rural Water Program from 1995 to 1998. From 1998 to 2006, he ventured into self-employment, amassing invaluable expertise in mechanical, civil, and water engineering, as well as design, financial management, and project execution. This experience set the stage for his tenure at Africon (later Aurecon), where he excelled as a Project and Team Leader, leading various municipal projects. In 2009, Andries took on the challenge of establishing an office in Kuruman to expand opportunities in the municipal sector and mining services. Over the years, he demonstrated proficiency in risk management, staff management, market development, quality control, and financial management. His impact extended to a variety of projects encompassing water networks, bulk water supply, sanitation, agriculture, and structural contracts, with a focus on design and contract management. Andries co-founded ECM Services, of which he is the Managing Director, overseeing activities and projects in the Northern Cape Province. His extensive qualifications include diplomas in Mechanical and Civil/Agricultural Engineering, a Baccalaureus Technologies in Civil/Water Engineering, and registration as a Professional Engineering Technologist. His knowledge extends to a wide range of courses and fields, from project management and legal risk management to specialized areas such as water engineering, mine health and safety, and more. Andries’ career journey exemplifies an unwavering commitment to integrity, leadership, and problem-solving, making him a trusted professional in the engineering sector.
